📋 Program Hakkında

The Music Teaching for High Schools (L3) program qualifies future school musicians as educators, scholars, and artists who master their subject and want to pass it on. The study program offers a connection between theory and practice, as well as experience with many musical forms and styles from history and present. The curriculum covers classical and popular music, historical and current music cultures, solo and ensemble work, learning and presentation methods, music for children and adults, intra- and intercultural aspects, and interdisciplinary approaches. The connection to the future professional field is established through school internships and school-related teaching offers. The training also includes describing the importance and necessity of music as a basic component of all culture, analyzing and reflecting on its conditions, consequences, and effects, evaluating the performance of teachers, students, and critics, and influencing them if necessary. The program allows students to specialize in various main instruments including accordion, recorder, bassoon, vocals, guitar, harp, horn, clarinet, piano, double bass, oboe, organ, trombone, flute, saxophone, percussion, trumpet, tuba, viola, violin, and cello, as well as popular music instruments and ensemble leadership.
