📋 Program Hakkında

The course provides fundamental specialist knowledge of Slavonic languages, literatures and cultures using selected thematic focuses. This knowledge covers both historic-diachronic and synchronic aspects of study materials, and includes inter-cultural relationships. As well as study content relating to individual languages, the course also looks at comparative Slavonic and comparative linguistics aspects. The course aims to provide the ability to handle texts analytically; acquire key techniques of scientific and systematic work, research, written and oral presentation; develop complex scientific interrelations between specialist history and culture; and critically engage with scientific theories and methods. The curriculum includes modules in Literary Studies, Linguistics, and language practice modules. Students can select from languages including Polish, Russian, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and Czech/Slovak.

* Language skills in the selected Slavonic language are expected but do not need to be proven upon enrolment * Students without language skills can complete a preparatory tutorial programme * Adequate knowledge of German and English is required
