📋 Program Hakkında

Informatics is the science behind the digital world. The Bachelor of Science in Informatics equips students with the scientific foundations of informatics including extensive mathematical knowledge. The program starts with core courses in various areas of informatics (basic studies), with theoretical knowledge and practical skills building on each other. The curriculum provides a broad spectrum of advanced courses (elective studies). Students choose specializations in at least two areas of informatics and must also choose a minor in a related interdisciplinary field. Key competences such as social and teamwork skills are mandatory. The program includes subjects like mathematics, theoretical informatics, computer engineering, practical informatics, elective subjects, supplementary subjects, and interdisciplinary qualifications.

* General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) * Subject-restricted higher education entrance qualification (not Fachhochschulreife) * Delta examination of the University of Mannheim (for holders of a Fachhochschulreife) * Recognized advanced vocational training or vocational training with professional experience and aptitude test * For non-EU/EEA nationals with a foreign school-leaving certificate: may require university entrance examination and/or successful year of study in home country * Proof of participation in the subject-specific study orientation procedure
