📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's program 'Cultures of Enlightenment' explores the various facets of the epochal change that occurred during the Enlightenment period, which created the concepts and cultural patterns of modernity that still shape our present and debates about the future of Western society in a globalized world. The program takes an interdisciplinary and multi-perspective approach, placing special emphasis on both professional handling of subject-specific methods and exploration of practical professional fields. The program involves the disciplines of Philosophy, Theology, History, General and Comparative Literature, Romance Studies, English Studies, German Studies, Slavic Studies, Media and Communication Studies, Musicology, and Education. It was conceived by the State Research Focus 'Enlightenment - Religion - Knowledge' at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and is based at the Interdisciplinary Center for Research on the European Enlightenment (IZEA), a central institution of the university.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: First professional university degree (usually Bachelor) in English and American Studies, German Language and Literature, Education, Ethnology, Protestant Theology, Franco-Romance Studies, History, Hispanic Studies, Italian Studies, Intercultural European and American Studies (IKEAS), Jewish Studies, Media and Communication Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Romance Studies, Slavic Studies, or Sociology or in a comparable field * Minimum Grade Required: At least 2.5 * At least 60 credit points in one of the mentioned subjects must be proven * One to three-page report stating personal and professional reasons for the application and justifying the choice of the program

* English: B2 level, to be proven by Unicert II, TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate, German Abitur certificate or an equivalent internationally recognized language certificate * A Romance language at B1 level or an ancient language (Hebrew, Greek or Latin) proven by the German Abitur certificate or an equivalent internationally recognized language certificate

The certificate itself must be submitted within four months after the start of studies.
