📋 Program Hakkında

The Mobile Robotics MSc is a research-oriented program offered by the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation and the Institute for Computer Science at the University of Bonn. Students learn the fundamentals needed to build and deploy smart robots capable of understanding their environment, moving around within it, and acting intelligently. The program focuses on probability-based and learning techniques for enabling mobile robots to function reliably in real life. Students gain profound insights into robotics, perception, high-precision sensing, 3D reconstruction, machine learning and deep learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision, motion planning, control, humanoids, self-driving cars, and agricultural robotics. The University of Bonn is known as the birthplace of probabilistic robotics, which has now merged with machine learning to create flexible, smart, and robust robots. The program teaches skills in perception, state estimation, modeling, action generation, planning, manipulation, and interaction with the surrounding environment, combining engineering and computer science to produce theoretical and practical solutions to societal issues.

* Excellent Bachelor's degree in computer science, geodesy, or related engineering fields * 18 ECTS credits in mathematics * 6 ECTS credits in coding * Other work totaling 26 ECTS credits in at least one out of mathematics, coding, engineering, physics, computer science and geodesy * 10 ECTS credits from the research thesis
