📋 Program Hakkında

The Bachelor's program in Cybersecurity focuses on all aspects of cyber security and lays the foundation for a comprehensive understanding of this complex topic from the first semester. The six-semester program combines fundamental content from computer science and mathematics (such as programming, system architecture, elements of machine learning, algorithms and data structures, mathematics for computer scientists) with in-depth knowledge in cybersecurity. Starting from the first semester, students are introduced to the field through 'Foundations of Cybersecurity 1', followed by courses in Foundations of Cybersecurity 2, Cryptography, and a cybersecurity project where students learn to solve cybersecurity problems in teams. The program includes elective specialization courses, proseminars and seminars to strengthen scientific discourse abilities, and a second elective area (9 CP) for soft skills or language courses. The program concludes with a bachelor's thesis, a scientific project conducted under guidance. The program is research-oriented, reflecting the current state of cybersecurity research, with contributions from internationally renowned research institutes located on campus, including CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security, DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence), and two Max Planck Institutes.
