📋 Program Hakkında

The master's degree program Medieval Studies is built on the insight that knowledge of the Middle Ages is fundamental to a deeper understanding of modern developments, especially in the humanities. The program integrates into the research activities of the Bonner Mittelalterzentrums/BMZ (Bonn Middle Ages Center), ensuring a research-based study program. Students acquire the ability to critically examine research and work on academic questions within the medieval studies framework. The program includes Greek and Latin Philology modules to expose students to the central language of medieval culture. Students learn key employment-relevant competencies such as independently formulating and solving research problems. Possible career paths include archiving, publishing, libraries, media, public relations, teaching, tourism, museums/cultural institutions, policy consulting, foreign service, and academia.
