📋 Program Hakkında

The master's degree program in Mathematics at KIT is a research-oriented program that can be studied entirely in German, entirely in English, or in mixed languages. The program has a standard period of study of 4 semesters and awards 120 ECTS credit points. The curriculum focuses on four mathematical fields: Algebra and Geometry, Analysis, Applied and Numerical Mathematics, and Stochastics. Students can tailor their studies to their personal interests by choosing modules according to their preferred language of instruction. The program structure includes Mathematical Methods I (24 CP), Mathematical Methods II (16 CP), Complementary Field (16-24 CP), Mathematical Specialization (14-22 CP), Mathematical Seminar (6 CP), Interdisciplinary Qualifications (6 CP), and a Master's thesis (30 CP). The program offers flexibility in choosing complementary fields such as Computer Science, Physics, Economics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. The master's thesis is an academic paper that enables students to apply and deepen their knowledge through independent research and analysis.

* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics or a degree program with essentially the same content * The degree must have been completed within a standard period of study of at least three years * Minimum of 180 ECTS credits required
