📋 Program Hakkında

The Bachelor's programme in Latin focuses on the core areas of language proficiency and reflection, an intensive engagement with Latin literature – especially that of the late Republic and the early Imperial period – and its reception in both ancient and post-classical times. Students acquire comprehensive knowledge of ancient culture and history, particularly Roman history. The program fosters essential key skills including networked thinking, information acquisition through interpretation of complex texts, historical abstraction, interdisciplinary communication, research abilities, and structured presentation of complex information. Students are trained to combine precision with abstract thinking and develop intellectual resilience. The program consists of mandatory modules (67 CP) covering methods and fundamentals of Latin Studies, language training, Latin literature (prose and poetry), and introduction to the didactics of Latin teaching.

* Latin proficiency equivalent to the Latinum certificate is required for admission * If you do not possess this certificate, a preparatory course will be required (not counting towards the standard period of study) * For those wishing to pursue a Master of Education, the Graecum certificate is required as an admission requirement
