📋 Program Hakkında

The English-language Master's degree programme 'High-Performance Sport' at Saarland University focuses on understanding the science behind elite and high-performance sports. The curriculum covers advanced modules in research methodology and statistics, as well as sub-disciplines of sport medicine, sport psychology, training science and the socioeconomics of high-performance sports. Students gain a deeper understanding of performance physiology, injury prevention, sports nutrition, and learn to independently plan elite-level training sessions. The program also covers topics like talent identification and development, performance improvement, and anti-doping measures. The curriculum consists of a mandatory section on methodology and basic theories (20 ECTS), specific aspects of competitive sport (65 ECTS), and a final assessment phase (20 ECTS). Students are encouraged to spend time studying abroad, typically in their third or fourth semester.
