📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's degree program in German Language and Literature builds on the foundation of the Bachelor's degree program and allows students to gain advanced subject knowledge and specialize in one of the three focal areas of linguistics, medieval German studies or modern German literature. The degree program focuses on German language and literature in all its historical, sociocultural and regional variations as well as on the methods and theories used to analyze it from the perspectives of linguistics, literary studies and cultural sciences. Students acquire specialist methodological and communication skills that will enable them to work independently and creatively in their desired profession.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Minimum degree required: Bachelor's degree in German Language and Literature or a teaching degree in German * Graduates of other subjects from humanities or cultural sciences may be accepted if their curriculum included at least 70 ECTS credits for studying literature or linguistics * Minimum Grade Required: Minimum grade of "gut" (good – 2.5) in previous degree; applicants with average grade of 2.51 to 3.00 will require an individual admission interview * For applicants in final semester of Bachelor's degree program, proof of 140 ECTS credits is sufficient

* Non-standard requirements: Applicants who have not graduated in Germany or do not have a German university entrance qualification require proof of proficiency in German equivalent to level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (in particular Goethe certificate C2:GDS or telc Deutsch C2) or comparable proof (DSH-3 or TestDaF 5) at the time of application
