The subject of German in the Master of Education degree program offers a broad education in German studies with a balanced mix of methodology/theory, linguistics, literature, cultural studies and media history. Students deepen their knowledge of central areas of German linguistics while considering modern research questions and analytical processes. The program also explores theoretical concepts from literature and media studies as well as literary history. It systematically builds on knowledge acquired in the bachelor's degree program, with stronger emphasis on subject didactics and practical school matters. The teaching degree for vocational schools combines a professional discipline with a school subject and educational sciences, with a practical semester as a key component. Career opportunities include teaching at vocational schools, providing teacher training seminars, educational counseling, adult education, publishing, cultural institutions, media, and academia.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* University degree (German or non-German) in a relevant discipline * 67 ECTS credits each in the subject knowledge/subject didactics modules in the chosen school subjects (with 3 ECTS credits each in subject didactics) * 24 ECTS credits in educational sciences (with 3 ECTS credits in the topic of inclusion; aptitude and orientation internship as well as vocational internship) * Bachelor's thesis 7 ECTS credits * 9 weeks internship, including 25 days at a school

* German language proficiency: DSH level 3, CEFR level C2, as per DSH exam regulations * Foreign language: Modern language on CEFR level A2 or qualification in Latin/Greek
