📋 Program Hakkında

The bachelor's program in Molecular Biotechnology is devoted to the production and construction of natural as well as artificial biomolecules. It combines the basics of natural science with content from biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology. Classical biotechnology has focused mainly on the production process and technical processes, but modern molecular biotechnology focuses on optimizing or reprogramming cells and designing artificial biomolecules with enhanced or new functions. The program combines methods from genetic engineering, protein chemistry and biophysics with databases and computer simulations (bioinformatics). Graduates possess well-founded knowledge of molecular biotechnology and are familiar with modern analytical instruments and techniques. The program includes numerous laboratory internships and exercises to develop methodological and manual skills.
