📋 Program Hakkında

The program combines contemporary literary studies with practical skills for those who seek a career in the publishing industry, in the promotion of literature, in cultural administration or literature criticism. With a transnational perspective on texts and markets, the program is designed as a response to changing parameters of the global cultural industry. Students will critically examine and interpret the differences, similarities and cross-border transfer of narratives, genres and theoretical discourses and will reflect on the determining factors of the production and reception of literature in national and international book markets. A range of modules is aimed at gaining hands-on skills and experience in the fields of book publishing, journalism, the promotion and marketing of literature and project management in the cultural sector. Students will develop a deeper understanding of institutional, esthetic and economic aspects of contemporary literary production and reception. The program brings together the expertise of professionals from the German literary field and researchers from the modern language departments of FU Berlin.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Professionally qualifying German or equivalent foreign degree in German Philology, Romance Philology, English Philology, Slavic Philology, Dutch Philology, General and Comparative Literature or another modern philological subject with a study component of at least 60 credit points, of which at least 20 credit points are in the field of Literary Studies, or a cultural studies subject with a subject-related component from the field of Literary Studies of at least 20 credit points. * Preference will be given to applicants who have relevant work experience of at least 6 months and/or international experience.
