📋 Program Hakkında

Students of history at Saarland University study in a department that offers a broad research base and an excellent student-to-staff ratio. The work of the department covers the three main periods ancient history, the Middle Ages and the history of the modern age, as well as two major applied fields: economic and social history, and cultural and media history. The Master's degree programme enables students to acquire a deeper knowledge of history and develop a better understanding of the methods and techniques of historical inquiry. The programme can be studied either from a broader perspective or by taking a more specialized approach involving specific eras or topics. It provides enough freedom to carry out interdisciplinary studies with related academic disciplines. Special modules, cross-border projects and practical training underline the programme's European outlook. Graduates are well qualified for careers in the academic, business, administrative, social and cultural sectors.

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education degree with a focus on History (in exceptional cases, degrees in other subjects may be recognized) * Minimum grade of 2.7 or better in History * Knowledge of two modern foreign languages (one must be English or French) at B2 level of CEFR * For specialization in Ancient History or Medieval History: Knowledge of Latin language (Level 2) * Subject competencies in History, proven by at least 63 CP or two basic subject knowledge modules from two of the three major epochs (Ancient History, Medieval History, Modern History)
