📋 Program Hakkında

The LL.M. program 'German Law for Lawyers Holding a Foreign Degree' (Magister Legum) is designed for lawyers who have obtained a law degree outside Germany. The program provides a comprehensive understanding of German law. Students can freely choose their courses and can specialize in specific legal areas (e.g., labor law, banking law, European law, media law, tax law, cultural law). The program lasts slightly more than two semesters. In the first semester, students must attend at least 10 hours of courses per week, and in the second semester, at least 8 hours per week. During the second semester, students must write a master's thesis supervised by a professor from the faculty, for which they have four months. The thesis topic can be freely chosen. The program concludes with an oral examination (disputation) about the thesis.

* Minimum degree required: Law degree obtained outside Germany after at least three years of study * Foreign law degree must be recognized by the International Department of the University of Mainz

🗣 Dil Gereksinimleri

* German language proficiency at DSH II level is required * Non-standard requirements: DSH examination (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang) at level DSH-2 or equivalent test must be passed
