📋 Program Hakkında

Mathematics is a structural science; as such, its goal in this Master of Education degree program is to prove statements about mathematical objects and structures according to the principles of logic and to construct and refine mathematical theories. The program covers current research topics in mathematics from areas including arithmetic, geometry, algebra, mathematical analysis, probability and statistics, linear algebra and mathematical modeling. The Master of Education program emphasizes educational sciences and subject didactics, helping students learn how to teach mathematical proofs, vary problems, and address heterogeneity among school students. Students choose two school subjects, with Mathematics being one of them, plus Educational Sciences. The practical semester is a centerpiece of the degree program.

* University degree (German or non-German) in a relevant discipline * 67 ECTS credits each for subject knowledge/subject didactics modules in the chosen school subjects (of which 3 ECTS credits each for subject didactics) * 24 ECTS credits for educational sciences (of which 3 ECTS credits for the topic of inclusion; aptitude and orientation internship as well as vocational internship) * Bachelor's thesis 7 ECTS credits * 9 weeks internship, including 25 days at a school
