📋 Program Hakkında

The Master's degree program in Food Chemistry at KIT builds on the Bachelor's degree program in Food Chemistry and deepens the knowledge and methods acquired there. It focuses on the chemical composition, functionality, and safety of food – from the molecular structure of individual ingredients to the evaluation of complex products and manufacturing processes. The aim is to develop a deeper understanding of the chemical, biochemical, and analytical relationships that determine food quality, safety, and efficacy. The program is designed for four semesters and comprises a total of 120 ECTS credits. It consists of subjects including Chemistry and Technology of Food (23 ECTS), Food Analytics (18 ECTS), Biochemistry of Nutrition and Toxicology (24 ECTS), Specialization in Special Aspects of Food Chemistry (19 ECTS), and Interdisciplinary Qualifications (6 ECTS). The program culminates with a Master's thesis (30 ECTS).

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Food Chemistry or a degree with essentially the same content * Minimum 180 ECTS credits * Laboratory courses in general and inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and botany (35 ECTS) * Laboratory courses in food analysis (25 ECTS) * Note: If lab achievements in botany (max 5 ECTS) are missing, admission can be granted conditionally

* German language skills at minimum level C1 of CEFR * Accepted certificates: DSH-2, TestDaF level 4 in all parts, DSD II, Goethe certificate C1 or higher, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, Austrian Language Diploma C1 or higher * Provisional admission possible with B1 level, but C1 certificate must be submitted by enrollment deadline
