📋 Program Hakkında

The International Material Flow Management (IMAT M.Sc.) is an English-speaking Master Degree Program offered at the Environmental-Campus Birkenfeld since 2004/2005. The program focuses on management knowledge, supplemented by political, intercultural and scientific content. It takes an interdisciplinary approach encompassing economics, natural sciences, law, engineering and communication science. The curriculum includes innovative financing concepts, network analyses, project development, and management approaches. The two-year program is designed as a classroom study with small classes. In the first year the courses include theoretical basics in the fields of business administration, material flow management, communication, philosophy of science, foreign languages, and ecology. The second year has a practical orientation with a 6-month internship and master's thesis. The program prepares graduates for careers in global industrial companies, energy and utility companies, business consulting, research, and entrepreneurship. IMAT is described as 'International in every imaginable way' with a global presence as diverse as its contents. It is characterized as 'Interdisciplinary', bringing cutting-edge knowledge from German environmental science and engineering frontiers with a blend of interdisciplinary subjects to provide a solid basis for future careers. The program is also synonymous with 'Innovativeness', challenging conventional thinking and doing things differently.
