📋 Program Hakkında

In the Master of Education in Biology, students deepen their subject-specific and didactic knowledge. The program allows for flexible design by choosing two specialization modules from a wide range of biological subject areas. Students can decide whether to complete two specialization modules in Biological Research or one specialization module in Biological Research and one specialization module in Ecosystems. The program requires students to continue their two main academic subjects, with 27 ECTS credits in each subject (subject-specific science and subject-specific didactics). The program is supplemented by the Pedagogical Additional Subject (33 CP), a 12-week school practice semester (16 CP), and a master's thesis (17 CP). The Biology major includes compulsory modules (Advanced Module Biological Research 1, Advanced Teaching Methodology, Seminar Biology) and advanced modules (either Advanced Module Biological Research 2 or Advanced Module Ecosystems).

✅ Giriş / Kabul Koşulları

* Bachelor's degree: A successfully completed bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in the major subject Biology in the bachelor's degree program Secondary School Teaching Degree (or a program with essentially the same content) * The bachelor's program must include study components of two majors, subject-specific didactics, educational sciences and practical school studies * The program must have been completed within a standard period of study of at least three years and with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits * Admission with a subject-related bachelor's degree (not teaching degree) possible in exceptional cases if teaching-related elements are included and a maximum of 50 credit points from a teaching-related bachelor's degree program are missing * Proof of personal aptitude as a future teacher: participation in the Karlsruhe Individual Aptitude Check for Teachers (KAiAC-T) or equivalent program * Minimum knowledge and achievements: modules in Biology amounting to 60 CP and Biological Didactics amounting to 6 CP

* German language skills must correspond to at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) * Accepted certificates: DSH-2 level, TestDaF with level 4 in all four parts, German Language Diploma (DSD II), Goethe certificate C1 or higher, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, Austrian Language Diploma C1 or higher * If unable to provide C1 certificate by application deadline, provisional admission possible with B1 level proof, but C1 certificate must be submitted by enrollment deadline
