📋 Program Hakkında

This unique trinational Master's program 'Literary, Cultural and Language History of German-Speaking Regions' is jointly offered by universities in Saarbrücken, Metz, and Luxembourg. The program covers German language and literature from its beginnings to the present, with students choosing between research and practice-oriented specializations. The curriculum includes 58 CP of mandatory courses in central fields, 24 CP in a chosen specialization, 18 CP in interdisciplinary or career-preparatory electives, and 20 CP for the Master's thesis. Students select a home university but also enroll at partner institutions, taking courses at all three locations. The program offers ten specializations including 19th-21st century literature and culture, synchronic linguistics, older German literary and language history, and more. A research-oriented variant is available as a PhD-Track program. The degree is awarded jointly with partner universities when at least 25% of credits are completed at partner institutions.

* Bachelor's degree or French Licence in cultural studies, humanities, linguistics or literary studies, or an equivalent university degree * Special aptitude * German language proficiency at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference * Advanced French language skills (only for the specialization in 'Translation')
